This week I have finished the synthesizing data and composed the persona as well as problem statement. I have also drafted the outline.
After interviewing 8 people, I was able to synthesizing some insights from the users. Almost everyone mentioned that medical history and care instructions are essential information when taking care of pets. They are also willing to do things that entertain their pets such as brushing them and walking them. They also mentioned that doing research helps a lot in the process, however, sometimes they don't know which answer they get is the correct one.
One interesting thing I noticed is that dog owners and cat owners are thinking differently. Dog owners often mentioned the commitment they have to put into, but they also enjoy the feedback from their dogs. Cat owners, however, often think their cats need less attentions. They also respect the personality of cats and don't usually forced them to be "ideal."
From there, I put together two personas. Victor who wants to adopt a dog from the shelter is worrying about his schedule. He also wants to know more dog owners in the neighborhood.
Stella, on the other hand, is buying a specific cat from a breeder. She wants to know the basic caring instruction of taking care of a cat as well as how to get along with it.
